Get outta town

I don’t know that I can add much to the message of that image. I snapped it while visiting a hotel at a beautiful beach. Yeah, traveling.

I’ve always loved traveling. It started in the USA, I think I’ve visited 41 states. Then Canada and Mexico, the latter of which blew me away with its beauty, culture and friendliness; and created a 10-year yearning within me to live there. I vacationed in various countries around the Caribbean and Central America. Since I moved to SE Asia, I’ve become a big fan of the amazing eastern cultures and traditions, and warm tropical beaches and waters.

Mark Twain said: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”

Yeah. Like that. It seems like a lot of the closed-mindedness and exceptionalism of American people would shift if they only visited other parts of the world.

That is all.
